The SSC MTS selection procedure comprises two stages: Paper 1 (Computer-Based Examination) and Paper 2 (Descriptive Test).

– Paper 1: Computer-Based Examination (CBE)

Paper 1 is an objective-type examination conducted online. It consists of four sections: General English, General Intelligence and Reasoning, Numerical Aptitude, and General Awareness. Each section carries equal weightage, and the total duration of the examination is two hours.

– Paper 2: Descriptive Test

Paper 2 is a descriptive test that aims to test the writing skills of candidates. It involves short essay/letter writing in English or any other recognized regional language. The duration of the paper is 30 minutes, and it is conducted offline.
